WindEurope calls on Germany to advance climate and energy plans

WindEurope has published a call to action addressed to the German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Peter Altmaier. In the letter, the wind industry association calls on the minister to implement a National Energy and Climate Plan for 2030 before the beginning of the German presidency of the European Council in July.

Hollandse Kust Noord Tender Set to Open

On Tuesday, April 2, the Dutch government opened the tender to develop the Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind park located 18.5 kilometres off the west coast of the Netherlands. The two-site farm will have a capacity of up to 760 Megawatt.

Record offshore wind capacity installed worldwide in 2019

New data released by the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) shows that global installed offshore wind energy capacity grew by 6.1 GW over the course of 2019 - more than ever before in a single year. Total offshore capacity now stands at 29 GW globally.
